Hola
We had an eventful week here in Parque San Martin. To start off, Friday we had our ward activity and it was a great success we had a bunch of members and families come and even a few investigators as well! We played a couple of relay games and in the end we had a big volleyball game outside. It was a great time! Sunday President and Sister Resek and there whole family came and visited our ward. President and Sister Resek even came to our gospel principles class which was a hoot sadly only Luis and his girlfriend showed up for the class but it was a great time. Thankfully Morena and Melenie and EujeƱa showed up at sacrament meeting and president was able to meet with them. President Resek even helped us give the priesthood to Luis!! It was a great Sunday. After, me and Elder Araya shared our testimonies, President and Sister Resek gave a talk and they shared some pretty funny stories. I couldn’t be more happier with the president we have here in Buenos Aires it’s a great time to be serving in this mission! There are also rumors that we will have to chance to meet another apostle near the end of august but were not sure who it will be yet which is also exciting. This week our ward is going to the temple and we got permission from president to go if we can bring an investigator!  We also are gonna see more baptisms in August!! We potentially could have 3 in 2 weeks. We have a few baptismal interviews this week so were hoping all will go well. The weather has actually been petty mild thankfully a bit of cloudy but not too much rain. In a few weeks they say the weather should start to change in to spring which is pretty exciting!!! I can’t believe that you guys are halfway now through summer break! Only one more month left hahah! Hope you enjoy it love yall!

Hola
We had a great week Elder Araya and I!!  We had the baptism of Luis on Saturday and everything worked out great!!!!  We had good attendance from the ward as well. One thing that happened which was pretty cool is we didn’t have much time to fill up the font so it was pretty cold in the water for Elder Araya and Luis. Elder Araya told me though that when Luis came up out of the water that the water started to heat up and their legs weren’t cold but actually warm and almost hot on the inside. Luis is such a convert that I’m convinced he will stay active and bring up a family in the gospel. He could even be getting married soon to his girlfriend who already is a member. The only thing is Luis has to wait a year until he can get sealed with her. But president will let you attend the temple with your converts for the first time if you’re still in the mission. That would be pretty special a year from now to be able to be there! Yesterday was also my first confirmation I have ever given anyone.  It was even crazier as Luis asked me to do his confirmation during the hymn right before hand. It was a great blessing though to be a part of that experience with him.  The work has still been going pretty good we could have another baptism just before the transfer ends but we we’ll have to see how things go!  It’s crazy to hear Shane it getting married to Nicky hahah, that’s awesome. Hope you guys have a great week!

Hola

This week was pretty special. To start off we had zone conference this past Thursday, which lasted from 9 until 4!!  We missed basically a whole day of work because after we had to do weekly planning! Although we missed a whole day of work doesn’t mean that we didn’t have a successful week though, but I’ll get to that in a sec. During the zone conference we all had our first interviews with President Resek!  It turns out he is the biggest goof ball haha, but he is the best. We had a great interview together he can really share a powerful testimony as well.  He told me to prepare myself in any way I can because he wants to call me as a trainer next transfer, but will see what happens. In Parque things are going great we are gonna get at least one baptism for sure this week possibly 2 but we will see. I’m not sure if I have already mentioned Luis but one Sunday he just walked into church to learn because his girlfriend is a member of the church and from there we started teaching him. The thing I couldn’t believe is how humble he is, it’s really inspiring to me. He had a problem with smoking and with drinking coffee but right once we taught him the w-of-w from that lesson he decided to drop everything. We have another possibility for the week but she has been feeling a little shaky lately about her baptism so I’m not sure if it will happen this week. It’s great to hear everybody preparing for a mission and receiving their calls back home. Our stake is super boss haha its true though. Hope all you guys are enjoying the sun over there it’s been pretty shy over here. Love you all hope you all enjoy a great week!!

Hola

This was a really great week, I’ll get some of the funny stories out of the way first. Right after I wrote you guys last week, we walked out of the computer shop and these two guys started fist fighting in-front of me like in real life! Haha; like a foot in-front of me.  The guy got all mad cuz some other guy didn’t pay him or something but the guy ended up breaking the other guy’s window.  I have noticed not many people here have much chill haha. This week as well we noticed that our neighbor’s rottweiler could get on our roof because our houses are right next to each other.  So one morning we are doing our studies and then we here the dog walking around on the roof so for fun we hit the roof with a broom handle and right after we hear something happen, we weren’t sure what it was, it sounded like the dog was crying.  After we finish our studies and get ready to leave I open the door and the dog is standing right in front of me outside! and the dog can’t leave because every house here has gates.  So until we could befriend our neighbor’s dog we couldn’t leave hahahah.  It was a little crazy cuz this dog always barks and always want to kill us haha.  Everything worked out though, we feed him some of my cereal and we became friend’s hahaha.  Finally this area is also starting to progress!  We got a couple baptisms in line for the end of the month, so we will see how things go!  I’m loving it here in Parque, we had a week full of rain and it says it will rain all of this week as well.  It’s not even cold though. Everyone has been telling me that July is the coldest month but it’s been the same as a Canadian spring.  This week we have a zone conference with President that is expected to last 8 hours and then right after we get our first interview!!  I’m pretty excited for this week!!  Hope summer break is going great!!!!  Love Ya

Hola
we had a pretty memorable week as we got to meet President Resek for the first time!!!! The mission is going to completely flip upside down soon just not sure when because President Robertson and President Resek are almost opposite people haha.  President was very strict and very formal in just about everything.  He always brought the spirit very powerfully into every meeting or any interview I had with him.  But it’s pretty easy to tell that President Resek is from Argentina. Our zone and two others meet up at a chapel in Merlo and we waited an hour and a half until he and his family showed up but when he showed up he was full of energy and animo.  He came around to each one of us gave us a hug and we each got to have a quick conversation with him. President Resek is just full of energy to work.  He is really funny to because once things settled down his wife gave a talk to introduce herself and President Resek came up to the pulpit and interrupted her a bunch of times in the middle of her talk and then when it was President Reseks turn his wife came up a few times and started to interrupt him during his talk; it was pretty funny, they're just such Argentines.  It was weird as well to because their son Elder Resek was there with us and that was the first time they have seen each other since he left, so it got a little trunky in the room for a sec but after they had to basically ignore him the whole time. I also just received all the letters from the primary!  I read all of them and they made me so happy. Elder Araya and I are starting to do great together.  In the begining of the transfer, we only had 3 investigators that really had interest in progressing. Now we have about thirteen or fifteen who have really great potential.  We have just been looking high and low just about everywhere.  It's weird to because a few times we felt impressed to talk to some people who just looked like thugs but they actually were very interested.  For example, one had a father who was sick sick sick bad, he was super skinny and stuck in bed.  We went and left with a blessing and he was just really happy and thankful.  It felt pretty great. I’m loving this work its incredible to be a missionary 24/7. I hope Canada day was the best it sounded like it was crazy. love you all

Hola
Elder Araya and I had a pretty rewarding week together.  It felt like we were getting rejected all week until Friday came around and we just started to find the most prepared people I have ever met.  We still got even a bunch of support from the ward.  We just met with our brand new ward mission leader the other day and he is so hyped to work with us.  He wants to personally know all our investigators that we are working with.  I think in a bit once we coordinate everything we are gonna be doing a bunch of divisions with ward members.  One thing that makes this area dangerous is the snakes hahaha not snake snakes but snakes as in woman hahah.  It’s a little sad though how much they disrespect themselves here.  So far this area hasn’t been dangerous it just looks a little ugly.  This week was actually really warm and humid to it felt like we were in summer the whole time.  I have been able to also loose a little bit of weight here in this area cause we play soccer every morning with the missionaries in Merlo.  Life is pretty great so far, President Resek hasn’t arrived to the mission.  He gets here on the first of July and President Robertson leaves the same day.  Today was my last day to write him which was really sad cause they really have become parents to me almost.  Not sure what else to say, life is really great here, I love the mission to bits its crazy as well to think I got 8 months here. Time just flies. Hope all it great at home love ya all

Hola
It’s been a great first week here in the Grand Parque San Martin. Its got dirt roads and great members and that’s about it hahaha.  I love it though, it’s a great area.  Right now we don’t have really any investigators; only 3, but the area has got potential. So all this week we have just been searching high and low for the elect.  I think we found a few good potentials but we will have to see.  When I said the members were great I meant to say that they are the bomb!!  We went to this young couples house for a lunch appointment and we asked for a reference and they both were quick to respond but not only that they asked for a card so that they could go and contact them!!!!  So they went and did it and got an appointment for us tomorrow!!!!! Isn’t that insane hahaha; I couldn’t believe it.  We also talked a few days ago with this guy who just randomly offered us water, eventually we taught him the restoration and after we shared the first vision we asked him how he felt about it and if he thought it could be true.  What he said I have never heard before and I love it.  He said I don’t have the faith that it happened because I don’t have the works!  So true, how can you expect anyone to believe in the first vision if they don’t have the works, which is to read, pray, study, fast, all those things.  It applies to us as well.  If we doubt something about the church it might be because we probably haven’t done the works and after we have done everything, another work is to be patient and on the Lords desire we receive this gift of faith.  We are gonna keep working with this guy named Cristian and see how things go.  Hope all is well at home love you all
